Blessed Easter
This will be short because I have spent most of my time working on a 3 part post about Genesis, but I felt that I needed to post something today. Easter is the celebration of the greatest moment in time since creation. It is the foundation of the Christian faith. It is the seal of the Gospel, that proves its validity.
We can be blessed because Jesus came down to Earth, was born to a woman, lived the perfect life that we were unable to live, died to take away our sins, and rose from the dead on the 3rd day (Easter) to prove He is God and His promises are true. We can have joy in all sorrow because we know that God has conquered the grave.
I will end with the lyrics to this wonderful hymn, “Because He Lives”:
God sent His Son they called Him Jesus
He came to love heal and forgive
He bled and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove My Savior livesChorus Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living Just because He livesHow sweet to hold our newborn baby
And feel the pride and joy he gives
But greater still the calm assurance
This child can face uncertain days
Because Christ livesAnd then one day I'll cross that river
I'll fight life's final war with pain
And then as death gives way to vict'ry
I'll see the lights of glory
And I'll know He reigns
Never forget what Jesus has done for you. This knowledge will carry you through whatever comes your way. As Christians, we are truly blessed.
Trust Jesus.

I saw a post of this verse online that encouraged me to add another thought.
"Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his [Jesus'] voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment."
Gospel of John (5:28–29)
This verse from John is important for people to remember. I think most people think of Christians spending eternity in heaven with God, but they just think of unbelievers as not getting to join us. It is much worse. They also get eternity, but instead of a joyful eternity with Jesus where there is no pain or tears, they get an eternity in darkness, pain, and loneliness. We shouldn't want that for anyone and need to do a better job sharing the Gospel.
