Why I Created the Trust Jesus Substack
Why a Substack
As I see the world seemingly falling apart and evil rampant in the world, I have felt an urgency to share the Gospel with the World.
When I was a new Christian, I would read through the whole Bible and then I would reread the New Testament and then start and read the whole Bible through again. I assumed the New Testament was much more important than the Old Testament. I also dreaded reading Revelation. It didn’t seem to make any sense to me. It was so confusing. Occasionally I’d even not finish it before starting the Bible again (usually when I was doing a “read the Bible in a year” program).
Now my view has significantly changed. I still read through the whole Bible. I’m currently reading through a chronological Bible that has the Bible organized chronologically instead of the standard order. It has been very interesting and informative reading the Bible this way. I’ve also learned how important knowing and understanding Genesis is to understanding the Gospel. The whole Gospel is based on the historical facts in Genesis. When we write off Genesis or read it as an analogy or myth, we lose the foundation of our belief. We can’t fully understand the Gospel if we don’t have the foundation of Genesis, especially the first 11 chapters of Genesis.
My other big change is my interest in end times prophecy, like Revelation, 1 Thessalonians, and Daniel. Where they were confusing and didn’t make sense to me in the past, now changes in technology and world events have made reading end-times prophecy almost seem like reading the daily news. We have, at least in prototype form, every technology necessary to implement the tribulation. All of the predictions that didn’t make sense before, make perfect sense today. It used to be confusing when Revelation talked about everyone watching the two prophets in Jerusalem. Now with a smart phone in almost everyone’s pocket, we can see what is happening around the world with ease. It used to be that talk of controlling all buying and selling didn’t make sense. Now with digital currencies, especially CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currencies) being created, those in charge will be able to control what you can and cannot buy or turn off buying and selling completely if they don’t approve of you. The mark that allowed you to buy and sell didn’t make sense when I thought it was something like a tattoo, but as an implanted microchip, it makes perfect sense. No mere man could make predictions like this 2,000 years ago.
I’m feeling that our time here on Earth is short. I can’t say when Jesus will be coming back, but it surely seems like it will be soon. There are so many lost souls that I feel like I would be remiss not sharing the Gospel with as many people as possible even though my life (business owner, homeschool mom, special needs mom, active at church, etc.) don’t really give me any spare time.
I’ve felt the call to write a book/booklet to help share the Gospel and probably another answering the age old question, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” My first book, “Why I Need Jesus”, will, God willing, be published soon. I’m making a few small edits and getting it reviewed and proofread by several people I trust.
The point of my book(s) isn’t to make money. The point is to share the Gospel, so I will make them as cheap as I can. I also plan to post them for free on this substack, so they can be read without cost. If things go well, I might setup a paid version of this substack and use all the receipts to buy physical copies of the book to donate to people, ministries, and churches. I will let everyone know the whole plan as I figure everything out.
I never planned to be a writer or blogger or author. When I went to college the only two degrees I was sure I wouldn’t consider were doctor (I love medical science, but can’t handle blood) and English (because I hated writing). I guess God works in mysterious ways.
Trust Jesus.
Your sister in Christ,
Christy
