I especially like your explanation of the gap between the 69 years and the 70th year in Daniel 9, because I've always had a question about that. Toward the end, your brief explanation of Jacob's trouble might be correct, but it's a new thought to me and I need to study it some more. I might add that God's promise that a descendant of David will be on the throne has already been fulfilled - in Jesus.
The promise to David’s seed to sit on the throne is partially fulfilled, but will be completely fulfilled when Jesus sits on the throne in Jerusalem during the millennial kingdom.
